You may find your first large lecture course a bit intimidating. Even more, you are likely to find talking with your professor of that course to be out of your comfort zone. However, it is important for you to know that your professor wants to meet you and observe you succeed in their course. The easiest way to connect is by visiting your professor’s office hours – a designated time each week for you to meet individually with a professor. Another opportunity is to participate in a program called Out 2 Lunch where you can invite a faculty or staff member out to lunch at any Bama Dining location to learn more about them and research shows that you will also begin performing better in the classroom!
