At the beginning of each fall and spring semester, the Office of First Year Experience & Retention Initiatives hosts various events to allow new and returning transfer students to meet each other. These events happen at various times throughout the Week of Welcome.

Spring 2019 Events:

First Fridays

Come join us the “First Friday” of every month this semester as we take some time from our busy schedules to sit back, relax, and get to know each other better. A light snack will be provided.

Having a positive relationship with your body is of upmost importance in our current society. Come out and be a part of this conversation with us. We will be discussing “What’s on my Plate? A discussion of healthy eating and disordered eating” .

Stress Relief Activities

College can be a stressful time in many people’s lives, which is fine; stress is normal. What is not normal is allowing it to overrun or slow down your life. Come join us as we show you unique tips to help combat stress. We know the relief will be worth it.

Dead Week Study Break: Kick Back & Snack

We know you have been hitting the books hard as you prepare for exams. Come take a study break and hang out with First Year Experience and other transfer students! Maybe you will even get some great study tips from other transfer students. Snacks will be provided.
