At The University of Alabama, we seek to provide support for all transfer students regardless of whether you are just starting your first semester at the Capstone or getting ready to graduate! UA is home to over 38,000 students and has a transfer student population of 4,325. With 72 Undergraduate Degree programs, over 500 student organizations, over 1,000,000 hours of community service (2016-2017), and 186 years of school history; The University of Alabama offers many of different opportunities for you to make UA your home. While you may have started your educational journey elsewhere, we are pleased to have you here at The University of Alabama.
The Office of First Year Experience and Retention Initiatives is home to the Transfer Student Programming at The University of Alabama. In FYERI, we work to provide support to transfer students during their transition to life at the Capstone. Are you a new transfer student wondering where to begin transition to UA? Are you a current transfer student with questions about ways to get more involved at UA? Are you a graduating transfer student who needs to chat with someone about life after graduation? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you have reached the right place! The Office of First Year Experience and Retention Initiatives offers events and programs throughout the year specifically for transfer students.
