Legacy Scholars is a specialized program for first generation* students at The University of Alabama. The program is designed to build a community of freshman who are starting a new legacy as the first in their families to go to college. Additionally, students will be matched with a faculty/staff member who was also a first generation college student to help support their transition to UA and act as a resource for their first year. Students who are actively engaged in the program will be eligible for $1500 in scholarships to be awarded in Spring 2020. The total time commitment for the program will be about three hours per month.
