Legacy Scholars is a specialized program for first generation students at The University of Alabama. The program is designed to build a community of freshman who are starting a new legacy as the first in their families to go to college. Additionally, students will be matched with peer mentors and a faculty/staff member who was also a first generation college student to help support their transition to UA. Students who are actively engaged in the program will be eligible for $1500 in scholarships to be awarded in the spring semester. The total time commitment for the program will be about four hours per month.
