FYE and Housing and Residential Communities have partnered to offer a living space for first-year BRIDGE participants to continue building community beyond the 3-day, 2-night August program. The BRIDGE living-learning community is housed in John England Jr. Hall.

The living-learning community features include:

  • A Resident Assistant (former participant in the BRIDGE program)
  • Monthly events held in the residence hall and the University of Alabama Student Center
  • A shared academic course, “Intro to African-American Studies”
  • A UA faculty or staff mentor
  • An upperclassman mentor in participant’s academic major or with shared interests

The 2022-2023 BRIDGE living-learning community is full. If you want to be added to the waitlist for the community, email bridgeprogram@ua.edu with your name and Campus Identification Number (CWID).
